Travel - Japan - Part I

In 2017 I arranged a trip to Japan together with Akiko Kuwahata. It was the 150 years anniversary of the Diplomatic relations between Denmark and Japan. We were a group of 10 Danish cabinetmakers and we had a tight schedule of workshop visits and Masterclass events.

One of the memorable Masterclass events was with Inoue Hamono and Kenji Komatsu. We has an intensive course in the Japanese hand planer and afterwards a friendly competition with japanese cabinetmakers at Hinoki Kogei in Tokyo.
