Niwa 庭 - Garden bench

The bench was created as Fenhann's first contribution to the Cabinetmakers Autumn exhibition SE06. The theme was outdoor furniture and the exhibition was at Frederiksberg garden.

He got the inspiration for the bench from some benches he noticed in front of an old tea house in Japan.

With small handmade cuts in the surface Fenhann created a beautiful tactile light and shadow effect. The cuts also helps the water to run off the surface and patinates beautifully.
